Craig Martin, President and Owner
Craig is the President and Owner of Accumark. His daily responsibilities include overseeing project scheduling and operations, and serving as a point of contact for clients regarding contract and quality control issues. He works as the Principal-in-Charge for a number of ongoing term contracts and on-call agreements, ensuring that firm resources and staffing allocations are sufficient to service each client.
In addition, Craig manages business development functions, builds and maintains client relationships, investigates new market opportunities, and enacts a strategy for growth while maintaining the highest standards of quality service and responsiveness.
Ryan Martin, Executive Vice President
Ryan joined Accumark in 2009 and serves a variety of functions, including business development, project and teaming pursuits, contract negotiations, proposal preparation, and day-to-day business operations. He is responsible for client retention and identifying new opportunities for the firm, and has assisted in the growth of the firm while maintaining its work quality and first-rate customer service.
Ryan graduated from Virginia Tech in 2009 with a Bachelor’s in Business Management.
Aaron Blow, Vice President and Northern VA Office Manager
Aaron has over 20 years of experience in subsurface utility engineering and land surveying throughout Northern Virginia and the entire Washington, DC Metro area. Aaron is experienced in all aspects of subsurface utility engineering and has worked on several notable roadway and transportation projects throughout the region, including the I-395 and I-495 HOT Lanes (VDOT), Dulles Metrorail Project (MWAA), and the InterCounty Connector (Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties, MD). He is also experienced in the successful execution of task order contracts and has worked with clients such as VDOT, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), the Smithsonian National Zoological Park, Arlington County, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Mid-Atlantic region. Aaron also regularly educates both professional and student groups about subsurface utility engineering practice.
Frank R. “Chip” Richardson, II, LS, Survey Manager
Chip is a licensed land surveyor, with over 37 years of experience in the field, 26 years of which have been at the project management level.
As Survey Manager at Accumark, Chip’s duties include daily supervision of field personnel, review of project scopes in order to meet the client’s requested schedule, and overseeing an office technical staff who process the raw field survey data and produce a final deliverable for the client.
As the firm’s Quality Control/Quality Assurance Manager, he has a variety of responsibilities, including providing direct input and supervision to all field staff and ensuring review of final work product by the firm’s technical staff and Project Manager before release to the client.
Chip is a longtime member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors and the Virginia Association of Surveyors (VAS), and has served as Education Committee Chairman for the VAS since 1999.
Dan W. Clatterbuck, Director of Operations
Dan oversees daily field operations for Accumark and has been with the firm for 13 years. He ensures that the client gets a quality product delivery in an efficient and timely manner. Some of his accomplishments while working for Accumark include MACP and PACP Certification (Certification Number U-309-7520), VDOT Work Zone Traffic Control Training, GSSI Ground Penetrating Radar Certification, and CPR and First Aid Certification. Dan also successfully completed the Staking University Utility Locating Certification Program and is a member of NASSCO.
Mike Schwartz, Chesapeake Office Manager
Mike brings strong teamwork and leadership skills through his 13 years of experience in the subsurface utility engineering industry. He is responsible for scheduling jobs, organizing crews for projects, and dealing with permits and bonds for municipality test hole projects. He also helps resolve any conflicts on projects, as well as assisting in the QA and QC of designating and locating projects.
Mike has been through GSSI training for GPR, is certified to use the Mala concrete scanner, and is VDOT certified for traffic control. He is dedicated to efficiency and professionalism, and has developed his skills through hard work and discipline.
Cody Smith, Baltimore Office Manager
Cody is an accomplished Project Manager with more than 8 years of experience providing utility locating, designating, and mapping services for state agencies, municipalities, and private clients. He provides hands-on management of every project and works closely with each client to determine needs, schedule constraints, and expectations.
Valerie Mayhew, Director of Administrative Operations
Val began her career with Accumark in October 2007 and has more than 25 years of experience in the customer service industry. Her role at Accumark covers supervision of administrative staff, coordination of RFPs, New Project Setup, Final Project Delivery, and Contracts (project-specific and multiple-term contracts). Val’s responsibilities also include obtaining Permits, Surety Bonds, and Certificates of Liability Insurance, and she oversees all aspects of Accounts Receivable and serves as a Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Rita Keener, Accounting Manager
Rita began as Accounting Manager for Accumark in May 2011. She supervises and provides leadership to the department, providing support services in the areas of Accounting, Human Resources, Payroll, and Administrative Assistance.
Rita received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Mary Baldwin College, Staunton, Virginia. She then received her M.B.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia. Rita has over twenty years’ experience in the private sector and is a member of the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance.
William C. LaBaugh, III, P.E. Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager
William is a licensed, professional engineer with a long history in transportation planning and design for DOT projects. With more than 40 years of experience and an understanding of all aspects of construction and utility projects, William brings a careful eye to the review of drawings, and provides engineering certification for subsurface utility locating and designating projects as required. His role in quality control and review includes work on several Accumark projects, including roadway improvements, utility corridors, water/wastewater facilities, and land development.
Kevin Parker, Senior Project Manager
Kevin brings over 21 years’ experience in subsurface utility engineering (SUE). He is an accomplished Technician and Project Manager with extensive experience providing utility designating and locating services for state agencies, municipalities, and private clients. Kevin has managed numerous annual and on-call contracts, including VDOT, Hanover County Water & Sewer, Henrico County, and Fairfax County. He has also worked closely with state agencies such as MDSHA, NCDOT, SCDOT, GDOT, and FDOT.
Kevin is one of Accumark’s several technicians certified with the GSSI Ground Penetrating Radar system. He is also certified in CPR and First Aid, Loss Prevention System, Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response, and VDOT Work Zone Traffic Control. Kevin also currently serves as the firm’s safety officer.
